Please read below to find out how to use music without stealing it:

CAF encourages schools and churches, teachers, organists and choral directors, to teach, perform and make arrangements of music published by CAF in accordance with details given below:

Recitals, worship services and other means of performance that directly or indirectly require no form of compensation to gain admittance or to receive by any means of transmission, and are not themselves a component of promotion or advertising, may be given without seeking permission. However, we would be delighted to hear of such performances. You may send your programmes by email or post.

(If you would like your arrangement of music to be considered for publication, please contact us.)

Music published by CAF is protected under the  Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works. This includes music made available at no cost and without regard to the source, form or means of transmission of the music.

CAF as a publisher, and all books and sheet music published by CAF, are registered with the Books Registration Office under the administration of the Hong Kong Public Libraries, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and with the International ISBN Agency.

Additionally, all works by Gigi C. Y. Lam (Lam Chi Ying) are protected by the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH, the Hong Kong equivalent of ASCAP). Ms. Lam's music must be used in accordance with the terms of that society. For simplicity, CAF can act as agent on Ms. Lam's behalf.

Any other use of the music by any means in any form that is associated with receiving payment or donations in cash or in kind, regardless of by an individual or organization, regardless of for-profit or not-for-profit, requires prior, explicit, written permission from CAF.
